I run a 'boutique' business intelligence consultancy called Phoenix Rising Systems, with three employees including myself as Principal Consultant. We work with Microsoft technologies including SQL Server and PerformancePoint, and with Oracle Warehouse Builder; we also have a speciality in Business Objects (I'm a Business Objects Certified Architect).
We have concentrated on two specific sectors: Financial and Retail/Supply Chain, and our clients have included several well-known organizations. For example, IBM, Xerox, Whitbread, Royal SunAlliance, J Sainsbury, Barclays, EDS, JP Morgan, Tesco, and Federated Department Stores. We have also provided consulting and solutions for other clients outside our primary sectors, such as Vodafone, the National Trust via CapGemini, and QinetiQ through Accenture.
Our skills range from the source systems to the desktop,
and our work is from the Infrastructure to the Boardroom.
Here are
some details on that. . .
Architecture and Design
Requirements analysis, dimensional modelling (Kimball Method), aggregate
